Gabrielle Bardall is an expert on democratization and women’s political participation and leadership in developing and advanced democracies. Her research pioneered the field of violence against women in elections and ICT-facilitated political gender violence. She has advised and published on the issue for numerous international organizations including UN Women, UNDP, IRI, the Carter Center and International IDEA, as well as in academic journals and the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Politics. Gabrielle has worked in over 50 countries worldwide and holds degrees from McGill University (B.A), the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (M.A.) and the Université de Montréal (Ph.D.). She is a Research Fellow with the University of Ottawa’s Centre for International Policy Studies (CIPS).
